Hello everyone! How are you today? It is getting a chill in the air here in Pa and the feel for Fall is definitely here now! I can hardly believe that Sept. is half over!
First of all I would like to thank all of my followers, from facebook to twitter and my devoted readers. My lovely/supportive artistic friends that I have gotten to know through my Ebay and Etsy groups and my wonderful customers during this time of working on "closing" my Etsy shop! I can't thank you enough! I promised that I would explain myself so people will know what is going on and what my plans are for the future.
What prompted me to work on closing my shop in the beginning was the lack of time for creation. Not being able to come out with new items has sent me into a panic and find it nothing short of frustrating that this isn't possible! It has gone on all Spring and Summer and now it is Fall and time seems to be something that I seriously am lacking right now. I thought a break could let me refresh and regroup to come up with new ideas and expand my skills. One skill that I have been wanting to learn was how to make a rag quilt and bags. I thought about this for about a year now ...but need time to work on some projects so that I can study how this is done. I would also like to look into making wall quilts, table runners, placemats and pillows. This is going to take some time to study and then practice this to be able to create things that people would be interested in. To say that I will not be creating any dolls, ornies, lamps or items that I have been known to sell on Etsy I would be fooling myself! I would just wish to get rid of my current inventory and bring in new items. These were skills that I taught myself to do about 10 or more years ago and will never lose my interest or passion to continue this line of art!
To say that I officially will be "closing" my shop in Etsy ....never to return...would be not the actual happening! I plan to take an extended break to get myself together, learn some new skills and hopefully I'll be back with more to offer customers! My banner will stay where it is, my heartings will not be touched and all the information about my shop will not move! I will leave an openning announcement when I get ready to stock my shelves again and reopen. I will also post it here and keep in touch with the people that are interested in what I will have to offer.
Please be patient with me as I take on a new journey! I will make posts here as something interesting happens or ...I've finished a new skill and made something of interest! I will also post it on facebook and twitter. For now I will be keeping up the posts on facebook of new arrivals at the Red Rose Co-op store and keep you informed what is going on there! Keep smiling all and I shall see you again!

A give a way has arrived and just in time for Valentine's Day!
>

Hello everyone! How are all my readers doing since my last post a few hours ago? LOL Didn't give you much time to relax, get something to eat, do something that you've wanted to get done today or even talk on the phone for too long! I'm sorry about that! I promise I will only take a short moment of your time. I am here again...but this time I am posting about a give a way that I am having as of today! My give a way involves a Valentine's Annie and Andy lamp that is so lovely and romantic to add to any small area in your home that needs a little light...or just needs a point of interest. The specifics of the lamp is as follows:
The bucket measures approximately 7 inches in diameter and its overall height measures about 13 inches . It contains a silicone 2 watt light bulb. The lamp has a cord that measures 5 1/2 feet long with an off and on switch. This lamp includes a lightly grunged/ handmade raggedy Annie and Andy, a multi-colored heart that Anne is holding and two grunged larger red/white hearts in the back. Both Raggedy
Annie and Andy are made of muslin, have embroidered noses of red and mouths, eyebrows and eyelashes of black and black button eyes. They share the typical red hair, that these two adorable characters share and is made of red yarn. Anne has a red/ lighter read dress with on with a bow that matches the shirt that Andy has on in her hair...while Andy has a matching red/ white checkered shirt on. They are surrounded by various greenery that would be just beautiful on a hutch or on a table. The bucket was heavily rusted but has a white bow adorning its middle that gives it a primitive or vintage feel! The theme of this lamp would be a wonderful addition to any collector of Raggedy Annie and Andy or love Americana items... or are simply into dolls and their influence.

I got it all in the bag.....
Good morning all! Have all of you seen the beginning of the winter weather by experiencing some snow? I just feel that it is so beautiful this time of year and love those first few episodes when the snow is at its whitest and softly falling all over the grass we spent so many hours mowing this past spring and summer! I hope you are all ready for the holidays and this helps put you all in the mood to bring on the turkey and stuffing and sit back and enjoy the parades!
I am here to tell you today of the folkart lamp that I've made and it is for sale in Etsy. I made my first folkart lamp and can't say how much I loved putting this together. Good thing I have done the snowman and Annie "Learning to skate" Dolls for this bottom of this lamp needs to be boxed and would have never known how to do this if I hadn't done those dolls first! Thanks goodness for small favors! I plan to make more and put them on but I have some woolfelt brooches I'd like to try my hand at first and still need the wool for the folkart Santa that I'm still waiting to complete! I promise once the wool has arrived this item will be up and available and would be another item that can be put under the doll greeter category of my shop. So if you are in need of an awesome doorgreeter keep you eyes on my shop for I'll get the hair and beard on the minute the wool arrives! Well for now enjoy the new style lamp I'll be making available and hope you enjoy this new item. If you have a color that you are interested in or a certain woolfelt figure you would like to request...please feel free to do so and I will get busy putting together your item. Until next time....keep smiling and remember every snow flake that touches you during the day is the snow angel from the heavens touching you with her soft/ loving touch. Go out and enjoy it! P.S. I also tried a felt flower pin that I made, of course, prim and added to it my list also. Go see what you think. Thanks!
