During the dates of Oct. 25th and 31st some of the OFG members will be doing a recipe swap. I would like to inform my readers where to go so they too can get in on seeing some of these wonderful, down home recipes that the team will be sharing. I don't know about you ...but I always enjoy a new recipe and really could use a list of new foods that I can prepare for my husband...he thinks so too. Funny I guess I'm not alone on this one!LOL As soon as I find out where you need to go to see some of the recipes, by getting a full list of blogs that will be participating and that will be shared, I will pass this information on to you. Welcome to Marketplace Monday of the Olde Farmhouse Gathering Team!
Good morning readers! We are winding down on the shops that have wanted to be posted in the Monday Marketplace blog posts ..but just know there are so many more members that are so talented and have shops that you just have to see. I have featured quite a few shops...but believe me this is only a small taste of what this team has as members and shop offerings. Check it out today!
Well now on to today's features! I will be featuring two more shops today....Irish corkies primitives and Icehouse crafts. Two more shops that have items that go into the fabric of OFG's makeup!
The first shop I will feature today is Irish Corkies Primitives:
Amy is one of the amazing sign painters that can make a sign for any season, any occasion , or for any room! Her signs are gorgeous and so well done you will proudly display one of her signs in/or outside of your home with pride and be able to enjoy it forever! One of her signs would be a great gift for you or for a dear friend...and a perfect gift for someone for the holiday season that is almost upon us! She even sells woodblocks that have various sayings on them , when stacked ontop of each other convey a message. These are perfect for a shelf, desk or stand! They all have such a primtive country appeal that they could be put anywhere, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom or livingroom or laundryroom and would add a feeling of warmth and tyme of olde that would give ANY ROOM charm! It adds such a country feeling to your home...you'll have to admit it is like revisiting the past!
Come take a look at some of my favorites. She has 9 pages of her fantastic signs so I can only give you a small peek of what her shop contains. You will need to go in and see for yourself! After I'm done showing you a few signs I'm sure you will head right in and see the rest for yourself!

This artist is also a sign creator and makes the shelf sitter blocks with messages also so you could put her art anywhere and in any room...even some could be displayed outside! She has 24 pages of so many variety of signs you're mouth is sure to drop! There are so many with sayings and conveying messages it is hard to keep track of them all! She is another master of her craft and I'm sure you will enjoy your time looking through the huge collection of woodwork items she has available! My etsy shoppe is called Icehousecrafts. I choose that name as when I started selling and buying online we lived in an old farmhouse of which was once an icehouse for the farm that we lived on. The walls in the icehouse part of the house were 24” thick stone. The farm was established in 1905.
2. How long have you been on Etsy?
I’ve been selling on etsy since February 2008.
3. What type of items do you offer?
Mostly on etsy I offer hand painted stenciled wood signs. I have also offered hand painted vintage pieces from time to time.
4. How long have you been crafting?
I’ve been doing crafts since I was a young girl...from crochet to macramé and finally to decorative painting. I’ve been painting fulltime since my middle son was a toddler so about 18 years for painting.
5. Who or What inspires you?
Customers are a great source for inspiration. They give you the framework for an idea and things just go from there.
6. What is your favorite item in your shop and why?
I have to say my favorite things in my etsy shoppe right now are my ouija board sign and wrong answer sign. The ouija board sign because as a young girl I was fascinated with “how” it worked. The wrong answer one, well it’s just obvious from looking at it as to why! LOL!

NEW Marketplace Friday Shop Features!
Good morning all! I hope you are all awake this morning! Again, I have another couple shops that I will feature on today's post and invite all of you to come and see what these shops contain and to meet the artists! Today's features are Sugar Creek Hollow and Painted Kreations. I hope you enjoy!
The first person I will be featuring is Kimberly of Sugar Creek Hollow:
Here is a shop where I'm sure you will find something that will help you with your home decor. This crafter does so many different crafts it makes you wonder how some people get all the talent! She makes soy candles with awesome fragrances such as crunch pumpkin cake...yummmmy, to beautiful crochet doilies to knitted kitchen towels, to absolutely ..must have afghans! She creates beautiful blog banners and templates and has quite a variety to pick from..and even makes canned goodies , like grandma used to make, such as peach and tomato jam. Kimberly is talented beyond belief and can make you home a cozy, warm, primitive paradise from its look , to its fragrance and to even the canned foods that her shop contains...not to mention has the skill to create a blog that looks and feels like you have always wanted! All of this variety that she has in her shop and will keep you coming back for days just to make up your mind what you want first from her shop collection! Take a look at a few of my favorites!
I've never seen so many wonderful things all in one shop before! She has talents that I could ONLY WISH I had. Take some time and meet this awesome artist and see what her answers are to some questions that she had answered and will give you a little insight to the mind of the multi talented crafter!
What is the name of your Etsy shop? And why did you choose this name?
Sugar Creek Hollow. One of my favorite places to visit here in Ohio is in fact,
Sugar Creek, Ohio. Often referred to as “Little Switzerland”, it’s in the midst of Amish Country. And I’m very fond of Amish crafts and a simpler way of life, which I try to bring to my own shoppe.
How long have you been selling on Etsy?
I’ve been on Etsy for about a year now, but Sugar Creek Hollow has only been open for about a month now.
What type of items do you offer?
Hand-poured Soy Candles, crocheted lace doilies, cotton dishcloths, an occasional crocheted afghan when I have the time, graphics, and I just recently added items from the kitchen such as jams and relishes.
How long have you been crafting?
Well over 25 years now
Who or What inspires you?
Probably my greatest inspiration has been my grandmother who passed on several years ago. She taught me at an early to crochet and sew, as well as how to make jams and butters. But when it comes to our candles, my youngest son is the true inspiration. He has mild Autism, and an obsession for smells. Making candles has become a family event that even he can take part in.
What is your favorite item in your shop and why?
I would have to say it’s my lace doilies. Creating these has taught me a great deal about patience. And I like to think that when one is purchased, it becomes that person’s next family heirloom.

You can see that her grandmother had a BIG part in planting the seed for creating as she had done during her lifetime and taught her some much respected talents such as making jams , crocheting and sewing which is one of the best gifts as grandmother/mother can pass onto her children/grandchildren! Her son's involvement of candle making is a noteworthy reason to add this into her crafting selection due to the benefits to her son! Bravo to your son to pickout some pretty yummy sounding fragrances! He knows what the public likes and has some pretty good tastes!

This creator has temporarily taken the things out of her shop to do a craft fair. Not to worry she will be back and her shop will be filled once again once she is done. She said that it will be around October 5th. Please be patient for everything takes time and craft fairs are very time consuming and take time to recover from and to get reoriented to what can go back in. I have seen her work and it is well worth your time to take a look at what this artist holds in her shop...so keep going back until things are back. Her painting ability is so worth seeing you will truly be missing out if you don't stop in when her items can be seen! I will leave her infomation to make this possible!

NEW Marketplace Thursday Shop Features!
Good morning all! Today's featured shops are the best of the best in crafting. They have shops that show their personalities and personal touches show their energies and give a definite feel to what their shops contain! They are experts carrying out their talents. while displaying their abilities, in a very attractive fashion ! Rabbit Hollow Prims and Sue Green's Keepsake Korner are the two artists I will be talking about today!
The first featured shop is Rabbit Hollow Prims
This artist is AMAZING! There are two parts of a person that has chosen a life of creation and selling what they create. There is a part that understands business and self promotion, and part that is creative and artistic. Sometimes those sides are hard to get equalized and one side is stronger than the other and it is hard to keep them separate and equally strong and active! This gal however, has very strong knowhow on BOTH counts and makes looking through her shop enjoyable AND a truly fun shopping experience! 2. How long have you been on Etsy? I believe a year and 3 months now. Started
May 2008.
3. What type of items do you offer? Many purposeful/needful items. Most are
sewing. I do alot of other art work, but haven't display much on Etsy.
4. How long have you been crafting? Just about all my life. My grandmother
that raised me taught me to sew. She was a lovely seamstress. Did alot of
sewing during the depression to bring in extra money.
5. Who or What inspires you? Words from novels, poems etc. can inspire me. Then
there is God's Creation! Awesome!
6. What is your favorite item in your shop and why? Oh I guess my Yo-Yo Flower
picture that is framed. Right now they are alot of fun. I get bored easily,
(perhaps I have ADD)will thus try new things and go all out for a while
until the boredom bug bites. ! :)

This artist is AMAZING! There are two parts of a person that has chosen a life of creation and selling what they create. There is a part that understands business and self promotion, and part that is creative and artistic. Sometimes those sides are hard to get equalized and one side is stronger than the other and it is hard to keep them separate and equally strong and active! KeepSakeKorner. As to how the name came about.....actually...nothing
special. Wanted a name that reflected items you would want to keep. So I
