I'm back and new additions can be found on Ebay!

Hello all! I wanted to send you a quick note that I have just listed again on Ebay and invite all to see what I have put on. The first item was relisting my Primitive Scarey Witch and her Black Cat. I have reduced her beginning bid, so if you had your eyes on her but needed a lower beginning bid to be enough to try bidding on them, now is the time.

The second item I put on was the same witch I will be listing at the beginning of next month for the Halloween Celebration for Etsy. She is Witchie Poo Annie "the GOOD Witch Doll." She is also at a very attractive beginning price and is just waiting for a good home to go to!

Lastly, I have listed a set of my Black Cats with eyelids. Their eyes are just so soulful and would be perfect for the Halloween season! Please come into my Ebay sales and check them out! Looks like there is alot of interest there!

Now you are up to date on new additions in my different areas that I can be found and wish everyone that starts a bid..good luck on being the new owner of whatever has "spoken" to you to be brought into your home! Thank you for coming in today to see what new things have been listed and where! I hope you find this information helpful! Have a super day all!

Hello again Ebay!

Good morning readers! I have just done something that I thought I had put behind me. I have left Ebay for quite awhile. I have had my start selling items there, started sewing and selling with Ebay, and learned how to navigate through Ebay and Paypal by having my beginnnings there. Ebay had been very good to me and I joined in a number of artist groups and took part as much as I could. A number of unfortunate happenings took me away from crafting, selling and participating in my groups and I began to feel "out of the loop!" No one seemed to know who I was anymore, I started to shy away from group contacts and just started feeling alone and that I would have to start again in another place to begin again. Thus Etsy came about. All of this has been a continual problem with having dreams and having to get over them so I could move forward. It also happened to me in teaching. I worked on and off for 6 years , and was a kindergarten aide for one year. Teaching has now changed and my degree only allows 90 days of classroon teaching. To keep my degree active would require more training , 180 hours of in college classroom instruction, and when I found this out my son just graduated college and we were looking at his loans. How was I to go back? I never was in a situation long enough to be considered for a full time job! I had such a hard time with that to face it again but in another area of my life was too much... so I ran from it instead of facing the problem , as it was , and trying to work out a plan! I couldn't face starting all over...because you really need to keep working if you are to get a following and not lose anyone or grow in a job and have it amount to anything. I think Etsy was good move for me but I can't forget what Ebay can do either! It is a very powerful resource of customers that buy worldwide and I have just added International sales to my auctions. Good thing I've gotten the strength to widen out my customer base. I may need it!

Well I've had a change of heart and have opened myself to selling back on Ebay. Maybe starting more slowly this time but to ...on a more regular basis post auctions and be seen where I was , at one time known, in a forum for larger amounts of viewers and possible sales! What could it hurt!? Just making my presence known could stabilize me to keep my creations coming! I know alot of members had alot of problems with the Ebay rules being changed and the pricing being increased and primitive crafters to rethink where their listing their items..... but a bit of advice. ...give it a second look...it may be well worth your time! I'm upset what has happened to my business that I've worked so hard for to build , and disappeared, but you are only a victim if you allow yourself to be. You don't know what is in your future unless you try! Sometimes that means taking chances and making a number of plans for backup!

Scott has has a very success for train business in Ebay and we just found a wholesaler where we will be looking to make some purchases and may open a Ebay store with these items. I will let my readers know before this happens in case you know of a train enthusiast that may be interested in checking it out! His Ebay name is Willowtree-Depot and he sells everything having to do with this hobby. So that is some interesting news for you! I can't wait to get started and am looking at it like a new window of opportunity!

One thing I have found is that pity parties are only felt by a select few. No one likes a person that thrives on negativity and thinks the worst! I tend to do that and then have a light of inspiration that comes down from nowhere and lifts my spirits and am calling on these things right now to get me in the right frame of mind to pick up again and start over with a positive attitude! I think it is like anything else it can get stale and you need to find ways to bring it back to life...breathe new air into it and appreciate that you can keep the enthusiasum and spark to try things a new way and not to give up! That is my moto starting out today! If you are getting discouraged in an area of your life I hope that my little talk has enlightened you! Believe me that there has been so many things in my life that I've had dreams of that never panned out . If I can pick up after all of this and feel good about it...you'll hopefully see that your life has hope and promise! Don't allow yourself be the slave to your life...be in command of it! Have a great day all and please check out my items that I have listed on Ebay. Hey a new place to find my items isn't that great? You can have fun bidding on them and hopefully will be the new owner of either dolls...or maybe both! I wish you all the luck! Once my husband's train business is settled I will leave the link so that you can see what is in his store or auctions depending on what is the most practical to run. Have a great day all and thank you for coming today!

To Write or Not to Write that is the Question.....

Hello everyone! I am so glad that you have come to visit my blog today! I have a bit of a question for myself and could use some help if another avenue has come my way or if I should refrain from such questions.

As a child I could remember going through my mind what I wanted to do when I became an adult and one idea that came to mind was to become a writer. I was a much more into reading large novels than I am today. I read a lot of the time and wanted to someday write my own novels . Once I became age to go to college and pick a major. I went with elementary teaching and spent a number of years substitute teaching hoping to some day get that full time job. My heart conditions began within my first year of carrying out this job and became a wall to climb to get to my ultimate goal of having my own classroom. My episodes lasted a month at a time with in hospital IV treatment and happened a total of three times during my early years of adulthood and did damage to my heart valve each time! I kept up my dream to pursue teaching by returning to substitute teaching in between the times of experiencing these episodes and continued for a total of 6 years on and off. With my last event of experiencing a heart attack and having my valve changed for a second time I realized that this will never be a dream that I can achieve and have once and for all put it behind me! I then turned to working on starting a business of my own to work from my own schedule. So I went to refinishing furniture and antiquing to Ebay and becoming a seller that specialized in everything and anything. Lastly, I have taken on the craft world and have gotten into primitive and vintage dolls and craft items.

An idea has resurfaced, however, and has to do with looking into writing children's books. People have commented on my blog that I may have an ability that I have not really paid much attention to. By starting this blog I have received a number of comments on my writing ability and being able to give a picturesque explanation using my words to help my readers almost "experience" what they are reading and making my writing engaging. I have to admit that the desire to write has to be an inspirationally driven or simply "the mood needs to be there" with the ideas flowing to be able to do a writing where people come out of the reading with something ...a message....a feeling....a lesson. I have had a few ideas of using my cats as a beginning point and trying this out to see how it goes. Heaven knows I have read my selection of children's books for college classes and with my teaching and always have gone after the books that had a message behind the story to teach a lesson to the children. I always said that I not only taught the basic reading ,writing and arithmetic I also added manners and qualities to have them have plenty experience in being polite, sharing, taking turns, manners at the table, ....just qualities that made the children aware of their place in the classroom and how to treat the people around them with politeness and kindness. I actually wrote a book for a children's literature class and got an A on the project and illustrated the book as well. I found that my creative side is usally while I am asleep but got up to complete this requirement at 1 am in the morning to write it , make a draft and start on the pictures. Let's hope if I do pursue in trying this that I don't sleep through all the REALLY good ideas!LOL

TABBY

FRISKEY

I have some great stories that would engage children that involve my two sweet cats. We used to have my one cat....Tabby...taken to a person to have the knots taken out of his hair. He would have just the two tufts of hair on his feet , head, tail, left on and all the rest of him shaved to no hair at all. (These pictures below are not my cat but is what he looked like with the "lion" cut.)My older cat never knew who he was once he returned from having this done and would take one look and not know who he was. She would hiss and run and hide . When we weren't watching though Friskey would get closer to get a really good look. If she got close enough she would give him a hit and then run for cover! It was always so entertaining to watch! Poor Tabby never knew what the problem was and just would go about his business like nothing was any different!

When my cats were smaller they were always into something. It was like they knew when we were to go somewhere and just would time it just right so they could invade the kitchen cupboards. They would be so cute and cuddily before we would leave and the minute we would come back everything was drug out of the cupboards and closets and we were always having to clean up after them after them following a spree during our absences. One time we left and came back to cabinets open and things strewn across the kitchen floor and there was little Tabby sound asleep in one of the open drawers with his paw holding onto a ball! Friskey was our first cat and could imagine that Tabby taught Friskey everything he knew about house destruction and how to find what you want when you don't know where it is!LOL (This is when pictures could say a million words about these two cats!) Now that they are older they are not as active and we could remove the childproof locks for the kitchen cabinets.

Someday I may just start playing around with these episodes and try a children's book and see if it is a possiblility! You never know.... my next attempt maybe in being and author of my first child's book. I will keep you posted!

Stay smiling and thank you for coming to read my lastest blog today!
