My Ebay Store 10% off Sale is in Full Swing!

Good morning readers! We are that much closer to Thanksgiving! It is almost time to sit down to that delicious meal with turkey, potatoes, salads, breads and pumpkin pie! Must be time just goes by more quickly the older you get! I don't know how we even got to looking upon Christmas already! We do have an addition to our family this year. My niece has had her baby, Ada Mae which was supposed to arrive on Thanksgiving but came earlier than we anticipated, and have this little package for our Thanksgiving thanks this year! There is nothing like a little one to bring about the holiday spirit when the holidays have seemed to have lost their magic! I just would like to say...congrats Ashley and Stephen on your new status of mom and dad! This is a particularly wonderful holiday for the both of you!

Well back to what I came here for. I stayed up this morning with my Ebay shop and waited, just as if I was bringing in the New Year, waiting for my Markdown Manager to begin. Sure enough ...at the strike of 5am this morning...the sale signs were posted and all the fixed price items were marked down 10%.(The items that started out at 10% and went off early were the ones that were free shipping and handling and were very low to start with. The rest are staying on for the full time of the Fri-Mon celebration.) What a magical thing it was to see this as it was happening. Frankly, having this being my first time to use this feature I was scared to death something would go wrong. It didn't though and now my Ebay sale has begun and will continue until Nov. 28th. I still haven't had a sale for opening my shop and will plan this some time after the holidays!

Etsy's 20% off sale is in full swing and my ebay 10% off sale has begun and the giveaway is still in the waiting period to see if anyone else would like to win one of the beautiful Christmas ornaments, do the three steps and enter if you so choose.(The winner will be announced Dec. 14th.)
There is alot going on between Times of old creations and Willowtree-Treasures and invite all of you to checkout my shops and look at the ornaments. I hope all of YOU have a wonderful holiday and I'll see you after the holidays!

Meet a very talented artist that you just have to meet!

Hello everyone! I try to come on and keep you informed of wonderful artists that are in either Etsy or Ebay and have GREAT talent and provide a service like no other. I have personally done business with these people so you can take my word that these people, and shops, are all that I say they are! You won't be sorry to do business with them...I promise!LOL

My son has been asking me to make a dog doll in the likeness of his puggle dog. I have heard so many times, " Mom, if you can make me a dog that looks like Hendrix, that's his dogs name, I will gladly pay you for him." I make dogs, usually doxies and dressed in costume doxies and I have made Scottish terriers and basset hounds. I am able to construct different types of dogs. A dog that has a wrinkled face like a puggle or plain pug dog I have problems figuring that out. I thought it was hopeless.

I have been watching a the work of one gal from my APGS Ebay group and have been very interested in her ability to make wonderful dogs of all shapes and sizes. She knows what she is doing and seemed to have dogs as her passion. Well one day I was looking over the list of items that came from the APGS group and there were three of her creations. Three dog hangers were there....a brown one, a purple one and I think a black one. They were for Valentine's day and all were holding a heart. This girl put herself into her creations. If you have a dog, would like to own a dog or just love animals...in particular DOGS....Bev is the person to see!

I know the passion of dog owners for I have run into them myself. I have been asked to make particular outfits or style of doxies outfits on these dogs and have been making bassets and Scottish terriers for a woman that sells dogs for awhile now! I know how much people love to immortilize their pets as pictures, statues and yes...even dolls! I have seen so many doxies in every outfit from angels to Harley Davidson outfits. Dog owners are passionate about their pets and LOVE to show pictures of them! I just found they are endearing and love to hear their stories!

Back to Bev! Her business name is Heartland-Creations and she can put me to shame with her dog creation abilility. Knowing that my son wanted something made in his dogs likeness I decided to ask Bev to see if she could come up with something. I didn't have the slightest clue how to get started! She told me to send her a picture ,because she hadn't seen a puggle dog before, and then she would study it and get back with me with what she could do. Below is the picture of Hendrix I sent her:

Is your mouth dropping now? I bet so! Can you believe the likeness? I have him now and is like Hendrix is here every time I take him out!LOL

Brandon and Nicole were here this weekend and my mom and dad came over and I showed them this picture. They were so amazed by Bev's talents and everyone wanted one!LOL She got him to a tee in this wonderful creation and I can't thank her enough for taking this project on! I got my invoice on Friday and I got this wonderful creation by Monday! Everything Bev does is professional and done with the utmost care to her customers! I know that I will keep an eye on her work for the future..even though I'm not a dog owner myself! Her work is of the highest quality and her service is always with her customers in mind! I urge any dog lovers out there the check her work and keep your eye on her work for you will get the royal treatment and care when to seek out this artist! She is on the very top of my list and I'm sure she will be on yours too! The information to find out where her creations can be found and her personal information is presented below.
P.S. Bev thanks for signing my guest book! If you look at the pictures in my guest book is another great creation from Bev it is a black dog in a dress! She is another great creation from Bev. Now do yourself a favor and see all the works of art from Heartland-Creations!

Hello EBAY!

Welcome readers! Can you believe it is Feb. 3rd already? I'm in total disbelief! I am happy that we are just that much closer to spring weather arriving, however!

I haven't heard that much about what is going on with the "Child's Safety Law yet" I do believe they have put the voting of this potential law off for one year to investigate it further before anything is done. They will then know to whom it is addressing and the specific child geared items that would be affected! Looks like I am safe for now!

I wanted to let you know that I'm back in familiar ground once again and have just posted four items into my Ebay! I have an Easter bunny, a Folk Art Santa, a set of 3 prairie doll ornies, and a Annie Witch Clown doll all up for auction as of right now. I have sooo many items that are not able to fit in my Etsy shop and are duplicates of what is in there already I thought that may be an option for my sales. I started with items I felt comfortable in letting to for a low starting auction price , in case they were not rode up. We all know that is possible! If you find something you'd like to try for give it a try. You very well could be the winner of one of my creations. To see more you'll need to go right into Ebay so it is a suprise!LOL

You can find my items with the other members of my Ebay group A Primitive Gathering of Sister's group and can be found by putting APGS in your search to find the items I have just listed and my fellow members items as well! Please come in and take a look at what I am selling across the internet and I hope that you enjoy! There is a little there from the past few holidays so you can have a choice! See you there!

A New Ebay Group has just surfaced!

Hello readers! Six more days until Christmas! Can you believe it! I hope all of you have been good and will be remembered by Santa! I have no worries there! I'm sure all of you will be rewarded for your goodness! Get to bed on time on Dec. 24th because I believe Santa shows up around 12 midnight. Don't forget to leave him cookies and milk. We like to keep our Santa jolly!

I am here today to tell you of a great new group that has just been born! It is called," A Primitive Gathering of Sisters!". The leader is Kelly, Once in a Blue Moon Primitives, and is a reuniting of another group from ebay....Olde Primitive Sisters Group, OPSG. This reuniting of a number of OPSG members , which is very much alive and well, and is now 37 members strong and getting caught up with each other once again! I have been so touched to return to a group that, overtime lost touch with one another. I'm thrilled to know what is going on in my primitive sister's lives and have missed them greatly! Its funny that I was just feeling the loss of my sisters from Ebay that Kelly came along and asked me to rejoin her in another group that I have been very close to! Thank you Kelly for this invitation! I love being reunited and having the opportunity to get caught up with my wonderful group of Ebay! I love each and everyone of you! I have made a turn in my selling forum but have not lost the friendships that I've made with my OPSG primitive sisters! You are all the very best! Next time your in Ebay put APGS in your search and take a look at all the wonderful items this new group has to offer! (Go to another great group to view their great talents by putting OPSG in your search!) You won't be sorry! These groups are overflowing in talents and are the nicest groups of primitive crafters that I've ever met!

Don't forget the Website featuring great members of OPSG;

I'm back and new additions can be found on Ebay!

Hello all! I wanted to send you a quick note that I have just listed again on Ebay and invite all to see what I have put on. The first item was relisting my Primitive Scarey Witch and her Black Cat. I have reduced her beginning bid, so if you had your eyes on her but needed a lower beginning bid to be enough to try bidding on them, now is the time.

The second item I put on was the same witch I will be listing at the beginning of next month for the Halloween Celebration for Etsy. She is Witchie Poo Annie "the GOOD Witch Doll." She is also at a very attractive beginning price and is just waiting for a good home to go to!

Lastly, I have listed a set of my Black Cats with eyelids. Their eyes are just so soulful and would be perfect for the Halloween season! Please come into my Ebay sales and check them out! Looks like there is alot of interest there!

Now you are up to date on new additions in my different areas that I can be found and wish everyone that starts a bid..good luck on being the new owner of whatever has "spoken" to you to be brought into your home! Thank you for coming in today to see what new things have been listed and where! I hope you find this information helpful! Have a super day all!

Hello again Ebay!

Good morning readers! I have just done something that I thought I had put behind me. I have left Ebay for quite awhile. I have had my start selling items there, started sewing and selling with Ebay, and learned how to navigate through Ebay and Paypal by having my beginnnings there. Ebay had been very good to me and I joined in a number of artist groups and took part as much as I could. A number of unfortunate happenings took me away from crafting, selling and participating in my groups and I began to feel "out of the loop!" No one seemed to know who I was anymore, I started to shy away from group contacts and just started feeling alone and that I would have to start again in another place to begin again. Thus Etsy came about. All of this has been a continual problem with having dreams and having to get over them so I could move forward. It also happened to me in teaching. I worked on and off for 6 years , and was a kindergarten aide for one year. Teaching has now changed and my degree only allows 90 days of classroon teaching. To keep my degree active would require more training , 180 hours of in college classroom instruction, and when I found this out my son just graduated college and we were looking at his loans. How was I to go back? I never was in a situation long enough to be considered for a full time job! I had such a hard time with that to face it again but in another area of my life was too much... so I ran from it instead of facing the problem , as it was , and trying to work out a plan! I couldn't face starting all over...because you really need to keep working if you are to get a following and not lose anyone or grow in a job and have it amount to anything. I think Etsy was good move for me but I can't forget what Ebay can do either! It is a very powerful resource of customers that buy worldwide and I have just added International sales to my auctions. Good thing I've gotten the strength to widen out my customer base. I may need it!

Well I've had a change of heart and have opened myself to selling back on Ebay. Maybe starting more slowly this time but to ...on a more regular basis post auctions and be seen where I was , at one time known, in a forum for larger amounts of viewers and possible sales! What could it hurt!? Just making my presence known could stabilize me to keep my creations coming! I know alot of members had alot of problems with the Ebay rules being changed and the pricing being increased and primitive crafters to rethink where their listing their items..... but a bit of advice. ...give it a second look...it may be well worth your time! I'm upset what has happened to my business that I've worked so hard for to build , and disappeared, but you are only a victim if you allow yourself to be. You don't know what is in your future unless you try! Sometimes that means taking chances and making a number of plans for backup!

Scott has has a very success for train business in Ebay and we just found a wholesaler where we will be looking to make some purchases and may open a Ebay store with these items. I will let my readers know before this happens in case you know of a train enthusiast that may be interested in checking it out! His Ebay name is Willowtree-Depot and he sells everything having to do with this hobby. So that is some interesting news for you! I can't wait to get started and am looking at it like a new window of opportunity!

One thing I have found is that pity parties are only felt by a select few. No one likes a person that thrives on negativity and thinks the worst! I tend to do that and then have a light of inspiration that comes down from nowhere and lifts my spirits and am calling on these things right now to get me in the right frame of mind to pick up again and start over with a positive attitude! I think it is like anything else it can get stale and you need to find ways to bring it back to life...breathe new air into it and appreciate that you can keep the enthusiasum and spark to try things a new way and not to give up! That is my moto starting out today! If you are getting discouraged in an area of your life I hope that my little talk has enlightened you! Believe me that there has been so many things in my life that I've had dreams of that never panned out . If I can pick up after all of this and feel good about it...you'll hopefully see that your life has hope and promise! Don't allow yourself be the slave to your life...be in command of it! Have a great day all and please check out my items that I have listed on Ebay. Hey a new place to find my items isn't that great? You can have fun bidding on them and hopefully will be the new owner of either dolls...or maybe both! I wish you all the luck! Once my husband's train business is settled I will leave the link so that you can see what is in his store or auctions depending on what is the most practical to run. Have a great day all and thank you for coming today!

Things for the OPSG site are looking good!

Welcome readers! I have been so busy lately working feverishly to fill Etsy and the Olde Primitive Sisters Online Market with some new items! I just added a primitive cat holding a mouse in both sites and will be working on a little girl with a cow set today! If I'm not doing that I'm working on improving pictures or rewriting descriptions. There is never a moment that there is nothing to do! In between I am writing in my chatrooms and keeping up on the latest news. Who said that "the world of crafting is dull?" I have just recently sold MY first item on this wonderful site and many others have also! We have had a GREAT start and have a fantastic leader that has guided us along our journey with this new site...Bebe Yeary, (Off the Beaten Path owner.) Thank you Bebe for all that you have done to make this such a successful experience! ( I have just added International sales for Etsy and have the instructions on the front page of my shop and repeated in with each item.) The sales have now ended but the prices have returned to their original but remain low so please take time and check them out to start your spring decorating!

In the Ebay news...I have started up with my second business which is selling my husband's Athearn trains under the name of Willowtree-Depot. As usual his business is flourishing and moving right along! I have put so many trains on over the years that I can name the trains in any station ...and usually do! This has been a hobby of Scott's since childhood and remains an interest of his today for train collection and interest in trains themselves. I'm sure that he never would have thought that as an adult he would seek out model trains that he would be busy selling on a forum such as Ebay. He was always so busy trying to find the right spot to build a monsterous trainset in the middle of our livingroom to filling up our garage that he could go and work on and now resorted to making a small strip to check their ablility to work only!LOL I'm sure he enjoys this as much as I do though and probably will have his pick of train engines and cars by the time of retirement ..that he can finally have for his very own!

Just to inform my customers...or any primitive doll customer...that primitive dolls, and such, will be found in the ART category with the subcategory of Primitive/Folk art! I have heard rumors that Primitive is not to be used to be put in our titles due to it being considered spam but need to investigate further the specifics of this situation. I will gladly inform you of such a change should it be the case to make searching for such items less difficult! There has also been a crackdown on feedback and filling out the detailed forums of a sale, ( star system.) Please think carefully before leaving this information because it is grossly effecting the seller's and the after effects it has on their businesses. Also make sure to take time to fillout forms for there is now repercussions for information not coming in on the transactions. If there are any problems that you see as a customer ,with any of our transactions, please contact us for we are doing our very best to provide a very well run business to keep our customers happy and will work very hard to make things right to anyone making a purchase!Digitally delivered items , such as epatterns and templates, will soon not be available on Ebay and you will need to contact the sellers for the sites that they have moved to to provide you such services. This is the most important information that I believe that you as customers need to be aware of and will let you know any further news as it happens!

I will be going out into my new sewing room today to get some work done and will leave you pictures to see how cute it is. It is not a bad size and I keep it warmed up with a small heating unit that hangs from the ceiling. I have it set up with curtains and have all of my dolls and supplies out where they are easily accessible and arranged neatly on shelves! My patterns and supplies are in totes, for the fabric and larger crafting supplies, and in plastic drawers I have the smaller crafting supplies that I use. You can hardly believe that it is located in the garage! I have all the modern conveniences of home with a tv , phone, and a wicker couch set to "take a break"and carpeting. My husband thought of everything before he even started this project! On his side of the garage I have a small refrigerator that my son left us when he moved to Indiana and fill it full of beverages and snacks that need to be kept cold. The best thing that I absolutely LOVE about this room is that I'm off by myself. I usually am in a deep concentration when I am creating and need it very quiet with no interferences! I usually have the tv off and just can hear the heater when it turns on. It is where noone would know I'm there unless the door is open or the sewing machine is working. It is a home away from home and out of the traffic from any stress ...besides what I put on myself! The only thing I'm missing is a bathroom but am close enough to the house that I can travel through the back door and have access to one!LOL
I feel very fortunate to have such a special place I can go to unleash my creativity and be able to get up and leave what messes I have made and not worry that someone will come to the house and see the untidiness because I hadn't had time to clean before they arrived! It was a wonderul social room for my boy while he was going to college and is now a wonderful crafting room for me now that he has moved on. Thankgoodness for the old programs of "Happy Days" that gave us the idea for making a garage into a room when you lack any extra room in your home for such ideas! It certainly has paid off! Also remember to smile it makes the world that much nicer to be in when you do!

Putting the final touches to my blog!

I would like to spend the time to thank all of you that have come to take a look at my blog. I have finally added the most important elements I wanted to feature and can't tell you how happy I am that it is done! I wanted to share this wonderful news with everyone that may be interested in my items . This blog is where you'll find where my businesses, Ebay and Etsy, are going and what is on the horizon. This is the bridge to connect all the places where I will showcase my items ...so keep your eyes open and signup for a subscription for WillowtreeTreasures news letters to so you may engage yourself in the the latest news that will fill you in on any changes, additions, or specials! I am currently on the move and working very hard to bring everything together! There is alot that goes into forming a successful business and one of those things are wonderful people that are willing and ready to help!

I am fortunate to say that I am part of a group like this and the members are so dear to my heart! Bebe, Kelly, Lex, Mary, Linda, Cora, Sooz, Chris, Marte, Kimmie and all of the women of OPSG and TOKKR have been my rock when I have been weak and sanity when I have felt insane with worries! I thank all of the members of these wonderful groups and will forever be thankful that they are in my life! When I thought I lost my way ...someone there had a compass....when I at times I felt alone...they made sure to make their presence known! This is a very unusual groups of talented ladies that all share in a great deal of motivation, are goal oriented, and share in a dream to make what they do into a reality! There is alot to be said about these wonderful ladies. I truly can't say enough about all of them! When I was in the hospital for heart surgery they stood by my side and sent me well wishes with cards of comfort and support! The leader of OPSG, Kelly member was so kind as to email my husband on a regular basis after they found out what was happening to me and contacted me at the hospital following my surgery and Kimmie emailed me after I got home to see on how I was doing and published a post about my happenings. The caring and giving of these two groups was amazing! The Lord has blessed me with these contacts and will never be able to say or show how much each and everyone of you ladies mean to me! You are my world! Thank you for being there!

(In my haste to put up this post I first did not recognize all that the group TOKKR played in my recovery and I know I have hurt alot of very important people of this group! I apologize for my oversight! It was very selfish of me and I can't apologize enough! Kimmie made it very comfortable for me to take time out of the group to gather myself and was so understanding and had patience of a saint waiting for my return to participate in the group! All of these ladies asked for prayers from members and stood by my side as well with get well cards and wishes. How can I ever show my gratitude?) I love you ladies! I am so sorry that I didn't at first include you all! You deserve and should be included in taking a large role with this time in my life...I'm sorry! It was my oversight and you should be listed here also!

There is currently a new move but it is in the beginning stages and I will clue you all in later as it begins to develop! It involves the OPSG group and a slight direction change the group will be engaging in shortly. It is exciting what I am to share with you so please keep coming back to keep up on my posts. I should be able to share it shortly what will be happening next!

Making changes can be exciting but also can be frightening!

Hello all! I am in the process of making some changes with my business. Although, learning something new is always a treat for me..it can also create a very large stress! My newest adventures are adding my items to a new site called Etsy, (www.etsy.com). You can find my shop by going to the following web address http://willowtreetreasures.etsy.com . Please stop in and see what I have for sale! Now I am beginning a whole new way to blog. and please come back to read my new an upcoming announcements. I can be found at http://willowtreetreasures.blogspot.com .Bookmark it and come back to see what new is happening. Lastly, my items can be found on Ebay so please check in Willowtree-Treasures listings to see what I have there up for auction!

As I was saying ...Etsy was a great move for me and love what they have to offer there. I am not that accepting of change so it will take awhile to see how things run at this new site. They have all homemade items and we all share our love for creation and that is one very large reason I have chosen Etsy to go to help with my sales.

I am not new at blogging but posting my blogs in this type of forum is new to me! Every time I learn something new that helps me complete my blog I feel a great deal of accomplishment and feel that a more professional looking blog is what I needed to better reach my customers. Soo here it is! Hopefully I will have it all set up with pictures and many more posts before you come back to read it again. Cross your fingers that it can be done soon and be a blog to be proud of! I wish you all well and until the next blog...keep smiling!
