Hello Readers....Here are a few New Additions to my Etsy shop!

Hello readers! I hope that you have been having an amazing summer and your July 4th celebration was the best! I just wanted to let you know that I have put a few new things into my Etsy shop and are eager to get reactions to some of my new additions. I have a set of topiary accessories. Each has been made out of different materials for the ball section of these creations....silk roses, dried rose heads and potpourri are examples. They all have a distinct fragrance and would be a great centerpiece for any wedding, birthday or baby shower. I also have listed two new Annie dolls....a nurse with bear patient Annie and a Annie and Hoot Owl doll. I hope you enjoy them and be looking for more new additions soon!










One of the newest interests I have is looking into making stuffed owls and adding them eventually to the mixture of items that I will be making available to potential purchasers.I also have been rolling around the idea of assorted pincushions and hair accessories for all ages. My mind is always working and rolling over ideas in my head and now just need to teach myself how! Time will only tell how far I'll get but am hoping to come up with some new items/skills soon to make available.

Hello everyone! I have just finalized my latest/newest plans and am making the "Free Shipping and Handling Sale" begin NOW! Are you in the Mood for Soup?

Well it is cold outside and my way of cooking during the colder weather changes with the weather. I tend to want more hearty meals and occasionally includes a homemade soup now and again. Here is a recipe for one of my very favorite soups and I hope you give it a try because it is a KEEPER! It is filling and easy to boot so give it a try and let me know how you like it!


POTATO SOUP

4 cups chicken stock
2 1/2 cups milk
1 1/2 cups 1/2 & 1/2
1 medium onion, diced
1 cup celery, diced
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
2 lbs potatoes, peeled and diced (I cheat and use 2 15oz+ cans of diced potatoes)

Cook the potatoes in the chicken stock until soft. (Canned potatoes are already soft so there is no reason to wait to continue.)

In a separate pan melt butter and add onion and celery and cook until soft then add a small amount of the chicken stock to this mixture. Add flour slowly until the mixture is thick and smooth.

Add this combination to the potatoes in the hot stock stirring continuously.

Slowly add milk and seasonings, half and half and heat until hot...but do not boil!

Add crackers and enjoy!


This should be a wonderful winter meal that the whole family will enjoy! Happy holidays and stay safe!

Small Technical Problem ....

Sorry to say, after waiting about two weeks to have my url changed in Facebook with the networked blogs that I had made a small mistake when trying to get it so that it is functional. I used http://www.timesofoldcreations.blogspot.com and you see the arrow as the thumbnail and can't get to my blog by clicking on the url link. I have now changed it to http://timesofoldcreations.blogspot.com/ and seem to have better luck...but it still doesn't work all the time! I have sent out requests again to have my fbf verify my url but they may not want to be my friends after this next attempt...I hope that I'm wrong but this is a bigger job than I thought and doesn't leave any room for error without relying on having the changes verified too! Bummer! I apologize to whom I had to ask for help and hope you can forgive me. If it doesn't work this time I'll be leaving it alone and people will need to type my url in and search and follow me the "old" way! Thank you for all of your help and for putting up with this ...and be rest a sured that this will not continue. I may find out this doesn't matter at all and it just wasn't meant to be! If it doesn't work....not to fear...I am done and will continue without networked blogs but will remain at this location. Life goes on! Hugs to all!

It was a Success!

I would like to take this time to thank all of my facebook friends that helped me get my url address changed to go along with my blog! I now can be found and located in with the networked blogs and you can follow me there with my changed url! This could have NEVER happened without everyones support! I now need to look into updating the look of my blog picture and I'm all set! (On the networked blogs in facebook...not here! LOL) This is the most wonderful thing that has happened and I held out that I could get all 5 verifications to accomplish this and now have the most wonderful gift...and chance to revive my blog after such a change and come out smiling! Well here I am again and with a New Blog, Address and Etsy Shop!

Good morning all Readers! How are you? Staying warm and safe I hope! Yes...this is me Willowtree Treaures with a new blog look, new address for my blog, and new Etsy shop look and have been busy moving my items into my brand new , and kinda new, sites! My blog banner and my banner/avatar are a creation from Wildenblue Farm Designs and is the most beautiful opening to a shop and blog I have EVER seen! The fact that my blog banner is off center is something I may have done when I couldn't get my last banner to take. I changed some of the html in the template and can't remember what I did to get my last banner up. I am currently working on that and hope to find the solution. In the meantime I hope that you love the new look and color choices. It is totally different and I've taken to it in a BIG way! I hope you do too!

Just a Reminder....

First Four Little Girls Waiting to be Added to my Etsy Shop Nov. 1st!

Good morning all! I just wanted to have you meet the first four gals that will go into my shop November 1st. There is Annie,Bella,Tiffany and Bethany. These will be a few of the first items that I will stock my shop with when I'm back open and functioning to the fullest again. Until then the sale will contine and enjoy the savings. Change of Plans.......

Good morning everyone! Due to continued sales going on in my shop I will continue stay open until November 1st with my current offerings. I still have too much inventory left and would love to make sure as much of what I have finds a home as possible. I know that I am closing during the busiest time of year and may now
start working on new projects and get them into the store and not close
at all until the "busy time" is over and take a break in June of this
next year. Don't worry I will get my act together ...after all this was the purpose of this time away! Not to create havoc in my life and yours!
