Good morning everyone! I just wanted to let you know that I have started listing the teacup pincushions into my Etsy shop and have more to go so keep watch. Some are rusty tin top pincushions as well but promise there will be quite a selection. Come in today and look them over...there may be one there that would look lovely on a hutch or shelf that not only is a GREAT decoration but a much needed sewer's tool! Hello Readers....Here are a few New Additions to my Etsy shop!

Hello readers! I hope that you have been having an amazing summer and your July 4th celebration was the best! I just wanted to let you know that I have put a few new things into my Etsy shop and are eager to get reactions to some of my new additions. I have a set of topiary accessories. Each has been made out of different materials for the ball section of these creations....silk roses, dried rose heads and potpourri are examples. They all have a distinct fragrance and would be a great centerpiece for any wedding, birthday or baby shower. I also have listed two new Annie dolls....a nurse with bear patient Annie and a Annie and Hoot Owl doll. I hope you enjoy them and be looking for more new additions soon!










One of the newest interests I have is looking into making stuffed owls and adding them eventually to the mixture of items that I will be making available to potential purchasers.I also have been rolling around the idea of assorted pincushions and hair accessories for all ages. My mind is always working and rolling over ideas in my head and now just need to teach myself how! Time will only tell how far I'll get but am hoping to come up with some new items/skills soon to make available.

Primitive Shabby is the Description of these Spring/Summer Beauties!

Hello everyone! How are all of you? Are you gardening yet? Just about set for summer to arrive? Do you have your porches, fences, outdoor sheds painted? Your flowers ready to go and all ready do your first couple rounds on the mower getting the lawn in shape? How about putting the bark down, adding stone to your driveway, or cleaning the built up mold off your patio? Don't worry I won't pin you on all of these questions. There is still time! We have done a little of everything here and still have much more to go. Our gazebo is up and has all ready had the "breaking in rip". The wind has been horrible and one of the corners broke open . It called for a quick sew and back on the top of the gazebo it went. Hopefully the 50mph ,or more, winds won't be back for awhile! This is an every year job and did a fix up job on our last gazebo and its top was made of canvas! Now when does canvas give into nature and all it has to throw at it? If this is common I guess I've been missing something major about the quality of what you can get today and how much things REALLY cost!

I am here today to tell you of two new additions to my Etsy shop. I have made these little gals because my daughter-in-law's sister is having a baby and she asked if I could make her a doll for her room. Well we all know what I do can't be in a child's hands because of its construction and made sure that Nicole knew this. She was still interested that I try. So I do what I normally do. I make three. Not all turnout exactly the same and there will be at least one that I like better than the other two so I went ahead and made my three.

Actually they all turned out pretty cute and each looks just a little different from the rest. My favorite feature is their wild, windblown, hair. Shake her head and almost any look is possible. Comb it down and she'll look very tame and tailored. I love to give them plenty of layers to get these different looks. I gave them different colored store bought bear, after giving them a touch of life, and snappity-do-day day...never thought you'd hear those words huh?LOL I finished the dolls today. I sent Nicole the picture of the one that I have set aside for her sister and had two left and they have become my latest additions to my Etsy shop. Here are the Shabby girls now:







When you love every style of doll there is, yet my very favorite is primitive, mixing the styles is easy and love the look of them because it is like getting two creations all wrapped up in one! I hope you enjoy them as much as I have making them for Nicole's sister and for you! Go and take a gander and see what you think!

Hello readers! I know I wouldn't be long before I would have a new creation made and posted on Etsy and I am here to share with you what these new creations are. Are you a lover of our swamp friends....frogs, toads, turtles, snakes or slugs? All of them...fan are not...our wildlife depends on their services to keep nature in check. I personally have a love for peeper frogs for their smallness and toads for the sounds they make when extending their bellies and how they can skillfully eat a fly! Not that my newest treat are flies! I have made a very fancy selection of what I'm calling....the Frogette Sisters and are very talented singers during the day... that will perform at any "hoppin' pad" and keep watch over the swamps at night so things stay calm and quiet! Cupcake Doll Series has been added to my Etsy Shop!

Good morning everyone! I have some exciting news for you today! What readers here LOVE CUPCAKES? Wouldn't it be nice if we could have a bunch of cupcakes and they didn't end up everywhere we don't want them....I'm not talking crumbs on the couch, all over the kitchen floor, or all over the counter top...but on your hips and thighs! I may just have the answer to this problem! I have purchased a pattern from "Homespun from the Heart" and found the most adorable pattern of cupcake annie dolls and went crazy! I just had to have it and bought it in a epattern. I got right into the pattern and started right off with making my first four dolls. My mind went wild with all the flavors of cupcakes that could be made and quickly started by picking flavors so I would know what color fabric, yarn and felt I would be in need of. I decided on an Andee Candy , Sweet Cherry Pie, Cocoa Fudge, and a Carmel Latte Cupcake and went to get all the supplies I would need to complete these cupcake dolls! What fun I had putting these together and making each one different looking, yet the same, and trying to wait patiently until they were finished to see the end result! I am now adding this as a special section of my Etsy Shoppe and will continue to make other flavors of cupcakes as time goes on! The fun thing is fragranced sprays can be added to each cupcake to enhance the flavors that are chosen. Mine have not been given a fragrance but may look into doing that for the near future! Thank you Homespun from the Heart for creating such a wonderful doll pattern and a very exciting creation idea of starting a doll series carrying this idea! Hello everyone! How were your holidays? I hope you all had plenty of turkey and had a great time with your loved ones and friends! Did any of you spend time watching the Macy's parade? It is never Thanksgiving for me until I'm watching those enormous balloons , and fantastic floats, are on my tv screen, with all of my family members oooing and ahhing over there size and construction! I always love that this time of year!

Did any of you venture out on Black Friday for shopping? My son and fiance went and quickly left the mall because of the customers! They did get some shopping done and bought themselves some shoes ...but I guess they are not much different than mom and dad or mom and dad in-law. I was in awe of the online sales and ,even taken more with the cyber Monday sales! I can't say I bought anything ....but that sure was fun and no crowds to deal with! If you have a story about your Black Friday shopping experience please leave a comment and let me know all about it! All I know is that it can be the most exciting shopping trip you can make.... or a trip when you end up with a few bruises and hair loss before you return home! Watching the news and seeing customers waiting long hours for a very desirable toy or new "high tech." unit can bring the beast out in many that are usually very friendly and kind! I don't want to see that any closer than the tv when the mild mannered folks turn into monsters! LOL

Well I am here today to tell you of another item I just added to my shop. I have sold a Primitive Grungy cat over the weekend and just put a new one up. Santa #1 is now ready for sale in my Shop!

Hello everyone! How are you all doing today? I hope you all are doing fine! During my last post I stated that I was hoping to have some Santas done and ready for sale by this week....well I have my first set of Santas done and they indeed are in my Etsy shop and ready for sale. These are the cutest Santas and are from a pattern of Ragg Bagg Babies. These little guys are made to be pin keeps/ pincushions but are so cute you may just like one to admire and to put in a place that is special to you like a prim basket or rocker! This pattern also has a snowman and witch that can be made with it and I would like to work on the snowman next. The witch is just so cute too and can be made just into an Annie. Having done the first doll I am sold that this is just the most interesting construction I've ever done and can't wait to make more!






I said that I wanted to get a "couple" Santas done this week and believe it or not I did.. but I ran out of wool and just have to put the hair and beard on the last Santa to be able to make it available to the people that shop Etsy. Again, I hope to get the final Santa done by the end of this week, fingers crossed that the wool arrives in time! Be watching for the 2nd Santa that will be posted in my shop. This one will be a very folkart doll and can be used as a door greeter or wall hanger as well and was a hit the last time I made these so be watching! Two new items added to my Etsy Shop!

Good afternoon everyone! How is everyone today? I hope you are all doing well and the weather is still warm enough so that you can enjoy your days. All I can say is good thing the snow hasn't started yet ...because I am not ready! Let's hope it holds off awhile longer!

I have added two new items into my Etsy shop just yesterday and wanted to let all of my readers be aware of their arrival. I have moved in a Primitive Raggedy Annie and Andy lamp and a Primitive Mammy and Children's lamp as well. I'm trying my hardest to keep my numbers up in my shop and hope to make it to 40 items in there very soon. It is a wonderful thing when you sell an item , and soo encouraging , but that also means to have backup items to keep the numbers up in your shop and I'm drastically trying to have this 35 items grow. Not that I want the purchasing to stop...I will just work harder to keep cranking out new items to keep my shop stocked and continue its growth...so please have patience with me as I am working on this now and new arrivals will be coming soon!

I also have other new news. I have left the Olde Primitive Sisters on Ebay group and also the Old Primitive Sisters Marketplace Website. I have found being part of more than one group and selling forum is very exhausting and have not been able to give full attention to both groups. Although, I have gone with Etsy to have a new start I still care of the wonderful people in the OPSG group and wish them all well. I apologize for having to leave but more so for not being able to be the best member I could be to earn the honor of staying as a member and fully doing my part. I will miss everyone there and hope that we can keep in touch! I'm sure I'll run into the members that are now also Etsy members and can get caught up on the latest news with ya! Another NEW Item listed on Etsy!

Good morning all! I just wanted to let you know that I have just listed a new item on Etsy. I have finished six witch ornies/shelf sitters that can be now purchased in my Etsy shop and invite all of you to take a look! These are a sizeable group of ornies or a smaller sized shelf sitter. Each measures approximately 9 " tall and about 6 " wide. I could picture them in a large basket, or bowl or sitting alone , or in small groups on a shelf. You can get a closer look if you look at the pictures in my shop to see what you will be getting. Each witch has a tag on its front that say different Halloween words such as: Spook, Witch, Bewitching, Spells, 1884 and Haunted. I was going to sell this separately ,but after seeing them together, decided to sell them as a set. You could have a little Halloween all over your house or put them together to one larger conversation piece. Either way they will truly bring Halloween to you!

Keep your eyes peeled for I will be creating and posting more Halloween items very soon and I will tell you when and where they will be available. Come in and get an early start on your Halloween decorating. I am currently working on a cat witch and is a Moonchild's Prim pattern that I just can't wait to get done.
