Primitive Shabby is the Description of these Spring/Summer Beauties!

Hello everyone! How are all of you? Are you gardening yet? Just about set for summer to arrive? Do you have your porches, fences, outdoor sheds painted? Your flowers ready to go and all ready do your first couple rounds on the mower getting the lawn in shape? How about putting the bark down, adding stone to your driveway, or cleaning the built up mold off your patio? Don't worry I won't pin you on all of these questions. There is still time! We have done a little of everything here and still have much more to go. Our gazebo is up and has all ready had the "breaking in rip". The wind has been horrible and one of the corners broke open . It called for a quick sew and back on the top of the gazebo it went. Hopefully the 50mph ,or more, winds won't be back for awhile! This is an every year job and did a fix up job on our last gazebo and its top was made of canvas! Now when does canvas give into nature and all it has to throw at it? If this is common I guess I've been missing something major about the quality of what you can get today and how much things REALLY cost!

I am here today to tell you of two new additions to my Etsy shop. I have made these little gals because my daughter-in-law's sister is having a baby and she asked if I could make her a doll for her room. Well we all know what I do can't be in a child's hands because of its construction and made sure that Nicole knew this. She was still interested that I try. So I do what I normally do. I make three. Not all turnout exactly the same and there will be at least one that I like better than the other two so I went ahead and made my three.

Actually they all turned out pretty cute and each looks just a little different from the rest. My favorite feature is their wild, windblown, hair. Shake her head and almost any look is possible. Comb it down and she'll look very tame and tailored. I love to give them plenty of layers to get these different looks. I gave them different colored store bought bear, after giving them a touch of life, and snappity-do-day day...never thought you'd hear those words huh?LOL I finished the dolls today. I sent Nicole the picture of the one that I have set aside for her sister and had two left and they have become my latest additions to my Etsy shop. Here are the Shabby girls now:

When you love every style of doll there is, yet my very favorite is primitive, mixing the styles is easy and love the look of them because it is like getting two creations all wrapped up in one! I hope you enjoy them as much as I have making them for Nicole's sister and for you! Go and take a gander and see what you think!

Additions and Changes made in my Etsy and FuzzB Shops!

Hello all! I have been so busy the past will getting my slide show on Fuzzb, getting new pictures posted and getting new items listed. I have added my Etsy shop mini widget to my fuzzB social page...along with my networking signup to follow my blog. This shop in general has truly been through an overhaul and more. Now I can begin new items to add to this shop and my Etsy shop as well. The new items I've added here are many and you must go in to see them all! This shop is certainly now growing and plan to continue to add more items as I continue to create so be watching!

In Etsy I have added two new items: an Annie and Andy "Luck of the Irish" doll set. Yup I realize Saint Patricks Day has come and gone...but this set would actually look cute year round out where your visitors can view them. Best of all this set is a set that I created myself ...so there is no set like it anywhere! It is TOTALLY original!

I have also added a set of primitive cats with the eyelids and beautiful hypnotic eyes. Everyone seems to love this set no matter what fabric is used or what style the cats are made in they are always a hit!

I hope you have enjoyed hearing what I've been up to, the changes you will see in both shops, and hear some of the new items that you can expect to see. Along the left side you will see where I can be located...FuzzB and Etsy are listed there. Just click on these and have fun! I hope you enjoy what I have been doing lately and hope to start my first new project next week so be watching! Have a great day!

I've got the Cutest Frogettes for Your Enjoyment on Etsy

Hello readers! I know I wouldn't be long before I would have a new creation made and posted on Etsy and I am here to share with you what these new creations are. Are you a lover of our swamp friends....frogs, toads, turtles, snakes or slugs? All of them...fan are not...our wildlife depends on their services to keep nature in check. I personally have a love for peeper frogs for their smallness and toads for the sounds they make when extending their bellies and how they can skillfully eat a fly! Not that my newest treat are flies! I have made a very fancy selection of what I'm calling....the Frogette Sisters and are very talented singers during the day... that will perform at any "hoppin' pad" and keep watch over the swamps at night so things stay calm and quiet! There is Alice, the redhead, Bonnie, the brunette, and Chrintina the sandy blonde. Now I'll have you meet them.....

Here they are together:

Meet Alice:

Meet Bonnie:

Meet Christina:

If you never thought you'd like a reptile....maybe you want to rethink that because you have to admit these are not the typical reptilian type...they are special and they are waiting for you in my Etsy shop! Go take a look and see if frogs can be something that you would add to your home! Enjoy and look to the left to get the link you will need to view them in Etsy. Enjoy!

The Feather factory is a wonderful shop that is located on FuzzB. For the nature lover she has anything you may want for your home decorating that has to do with wild life and nature, mainly our bird friends, that have many uses such as squirrel feeders, rooster wall hangers, a humming bird clock and rooster canisters. All of her items are very affordable and would be great additions to any home! The neatest items are all the many types of bird feathers she sells. They are from all types of birds with the most beautiful feathers and can be used in crafting and are made with many types of feathers called feather pads. Feather pads made with marabou, guinea, peacock, reeve and many other exotic bird feathers can be found. What her FuzzB shop is truly full of is bird houses. Not just any type of birdhouses ....but birdhouses that are so beautiful and detailed that they are made to find a great place to display them in a favorite nook, or cranny of your home! Actually, that is where I diplayed my winnings was on another winning that I won from The Firecrackerkid from Etsy's winnings of a primitive candle holder that is hanging in my kitchen right above my kitchen table! It puts it high enough that my cats can't touch it...yet is in sight well enough, upon entering into my house that you can see it right away!

Take a look at this beauty!

This is the cutest, decorative, birdhouse I have ever seen! If you think this one is cute go into her FuzzB shop and take a look at all of her other birdhouses. They are every size, color and style imaginable! If you LOVE anything having to do with our feathered friends checkout her shop. You won't be sorry!

The Winner of my Annie and Andy Lamp Is.......

Good morning all! How are you all this morning? Finally the day is here to pick the winner of my Annie and Andy lamp giveaway and I wanted to explain my system to you so that anyone that would like to use this system can do so since it can be used over and over and may be need to be modified due to the change of number of participants.

Ok...this is very simple and doesn't take a mad scientist to put together. The supplies needed include a fine tip pen from a pen that will not smudge, a number of earplugs that will represent each person that has signed up for the giveaway, a bowl with a lid, a piece of paper and writing utensil.

1)What you do is make a copy of the list of participants for your giveaway and replace each name with a number in sequence. 1...2....3....and so on.

2)Next you take each earplug and write these numbers on the plug.(I wrote the numbers on both ends.)Each plug will represent that corresponding number/person on your list

3)Once finished place all plugs in a bowl with a lid and have them lay flat inside the bowl.

4) Give a great shake and reach in with a blindfold on ...or with closed eyes and pull out one plug and this is your winner!

This great thing about this method is because the earplugs can be used over and over and just the list will need to be replaced and renumbered for your new giveaways!

All the plugs are the same size and have the same texture so there is NO WAY you can tell who's number goes to what plug until it is checked! I'm sure many of you have thought of this method already ....or may have been doing simular for the giveaways you have already have been having. If you have been doing the name in the hat...well is her another option you may want to consider for a future giveaway!

Now onto the naming of the winner.....I bounced the plugs in there pretty darn good and reached in to find the winning number. When I pulled out the winning plug and read the number I thought I'd get a picture of the winning number and put that with that number/person on my signup list to get a picture....so here it is.....the winning number is 9 and Yorkie''s Primitive is the winner of my Andy and Annie Doll Lamp giveaway! Many congatulations to you and I will send you a private message of congrats and to get your information of where to send your prize!

A HUGE thank you goes to all that signed up for this giveaway. I wish I had something for all of you! Don't worry I will have more giveaways as time allows and so keep posted and I hope you all have a fantastic day!

What another obsession?!

Good morning readers! I have been up early and watching the videos of my newest obsession...Adam Lambert! How did I manage to let this young hunk pass my notice up until now. I have seen him on tv and never really knew where he came from. I never truly noticed him until he did an recent interview, and performance, on Oprah. and was immediately taken with this cutting edge performance! When thinking back I remember thinking now there is a odd fellow. ....a true rock and roller for sure! Maybe into heavy metal as far as I knew. His dark hair, makeup , over the top hair style, out of the norm clothing...yet eyes that can't be missed he certainly wasn't something I could get into...or even like. That just goes to say how people, in general, judge others because of their appearance and won't wait around to see what is behind the veil that hides the soul, mind and God's gifts that aren't readily seen.

I watched the Oprah show and was so impressed with this young mans abilities, was intrigued by his look and loved the wisdom Adam had to show about what has happened to him on American Idol and his developing stardom! I certainly missed a good season when he was competing...and sorry to say he came in second once the season came to a close. The hook was his performance of "What do you want from me" from his newest album. His commanded the stage and had a stage presence that was overwhelming! I've been searching for more videos on line and seeing that this, rising star, is someone that has become my newest obsession.I love to listen to his music ...but the magic of Adam is truly in his performance ablilities. Having done a number of onstage musicals Adam is more than just music. Part of expereiencing Adam is to see him in video. His talent goes far beyond a wonderful voice, a totally unique style and his command of the stage he possess! I'm sure as he gets further in his career he will go far and will continue to follow his upcoming albums...and possibly movies. Here is one of his latest songs that is on the new movie 2012...."Time for Miracles."

JUST A REMINDER:
(Please be aware that my giveaway, the Andy and Annie Valentine's Lamp" is now on the second page. Just hit older posts and it should be right to at the top of lists of posts. It will be over on Jan. 28th so if you want to still signup for a possibility to win this great prize just go to older posts at the bottom of this page!)
